Sorry for not posting for a while. I've been rather busy. I have a haul coming up very soon of some lovely things I've ordered online, which thankfully all came today!
So I know I forgot to post my Weekly Weight Loss Roundup on Monday. It's week two and it's really not very exciting as I stayed the same! I did eat pizza (I know but it was cheat day D: ) the day before weigh in so I was happy to of not put any weight on! I'm trying really hard this week and so far its been going quite well. Will update you next week!
Onto my weekly wishlist wants as it is Wednesday!
This week it's makeup edition, so I had to narrow my ever expanding makeup wishlist down to five things.
1. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette.
I really want this. I love my Naked and Naked 2 palettes and have wanted this since it came out. I will definitely be buying it eventually! The shades are all matte apart from one which is the slightly shimmery one.
2. MAC Please Me Lipstick.
Need I really say anything about this!? It looks stunning and I'm in love with it!
3. MAC Pervette Lipstick.
It's just a matter of time! I've wanted this for ages!!
4. MAC Shy Girl Lipstick.
This is probably the one I WILL get first. I will definitely be purchasing this when I have £14 to spare!
5. Urban Decay Naked Flushed Cheek Palette.
This is quite new to me, but I really want it. The colours look amazing and to be honest, anything by UD is amazing quality so definitely worth the money.
So, that's it. Sorry that it was short and a little samey-samey. I just know I will end up getting all five of these things as I'm a sucker for them. LOL. I DON'T OWN ANY OF THE PICTURES USED IN THIS POST!

Weekly Wishlist Wants!!
So this was *supposed* to go up yesterday (well technically 2 days ago as it's 12:23AM) but I was busy!
I've seen people on the blogosphere post their "wishlist wants" as such so decided I would make it a weekly feature. So you people can see what I'm lusting over! Everything this week is kinda expensive and a bit more higher end but hey ho, I've been feeling like spoiling myself and this is the stuff top of my wishlist. Here are five things I've been lusting over!
1. Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine Perfume 50ml.
So I have wanted this since I heard about it. My mum has the original and to be honest I'm not the BIGGEST fan over it. Though I love the packaging and Marc Jacobs perfumes. I thought the original Daisy was a little played down in scent so I'm hoping this one will smell a bit more vibrant! I think I will buy this sooner or later!
2. Michael Kors Jet Set silver watch.
This is gorgeous....and I need it. ;) Just kidding. Though I do REALLY want it. I have a rose gold MK watch and adore it so the silver one is pretty much a neccessity for me at this stage and it was always only a matter of time before I indulged in another Michael Kors watch!
3. Iron Fist Heels.
Don't remember the actual name of these type of heels but I saw them on Amazon when I was online shoe shopping for my Iron Fist flats before and have adored them ever since. I'm not the biggest heel wearer but do like an occasional heel! These are so pretty and rather gaudy which is totally my style. Yet they still have that edge and don't look tacky (well maybe a little!).
4. Michael Kors Jet Set White Bag.
UGHHHHHHHH! This bag is amazing. It's so pretty, chic, elegant, you name it! It's just so beautiful! I want this so badly! I might take a trip down to Biecester Village to check this one out! I will probably never buy it but when it comes to my birthday this will be top of my list!
5. Real Techniques Core Collection Kit.
I have never tried Real Techniques but I'm dying too. And what better way to get introduced than a core collection?! The brushes look amazing and such good quality. I'm surprised I haven't bought any yet. They don't stock them in my local Boots. But I might just purchase them online. Look out for these to appear on my blog because me buying them is most likely going to happen!
So that was my weekly wishlist wants. Hope you enjoyed. And tell me your five most wanted things in the comments or tweet me!

L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash + Comparison to YSL.
So here is part 2 to my review on the new L'Oreal lip products. Part 1 was on the Rouge Caresse Lipsticks. Click here to read about them. Basically these are the lipglosses (or lipstains, whichever you prefer) that I bought alongside them. I meant to get this up a bit quicker but have been preoccupied with other blog posts!
These have been compared a lot to the YSL lipstains and are apparently quite similiar. As I own a "original" as to speak I decided I would do another comparison post.
These lipstains come in a range of colours and cost £7.99 each from anywhere you can purchase L'Oreal Paris. I got mine from Boots on 3 for 2. The three colours I have to show you today are (in order on the picture) Princess, Eve and Lolita.
All three colours are very pretty but they are each quite different. Princess is quite pigmented, whereas Lolita and Eve are not and come out rather sheer.
The packaging is beautiful but you open them almost upside down and I nearly spilled mine the first time I tried to open it. You would presume that the narrow end is what you twist and open but it's actually the square bit at the bottom. The wand is a heart shaped applicator and is actually rather nice. The texture is nice and watery, which sounds disgusting but is actually quite nice in my personal preference. I don't like sticky lipgloss and as these are stains I thought they were going to be incredibly sticky. But on the contrary! They glided on and were really nice to apply. When you rub your lips together you can feel it but it isn't that sticky or horrendous-feeling. They feel quite nice.
The staying power isn't amazing, they almost immediately fade and smudge/smeer quite easily! Lolita and Eve are both very sheer and more like tinted (somewhat) lip balms. They do feel nourishing but aren't amazingly pigmented.
I took some pictures, swatches and lip swatches which I will now post here:
That was Lolita ^^^
At £7.99 they are decent quality, they have nice packaging, texture and smell.
Comparison to YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain Lip:
YSL stains are much nicer. They are so much more pigmented, stay on longer and have a slightly nicer texture. L'Oreal in my opinion has nicer packaging (which is shocking to say as in my honest opinion, YSL have the best packaging in the cosmetics industry today) and a nicer smell. The YSL texture and the L'Oreal texture are VERY similiar and the smell is somewhat similiar though YSL is a lot more noticeable. It's a horrible smell by the way!
The colour selection is different and the YSL price tag is a lot higher. Both have pro's and con's but I have to give this round to YSL purely for staying power, visibility and texture. L'Oreal wins on packaging and price though.
At Boots the L'Oreal stains will set you back a mere £7.99 a pop compared to the whopping £23.50 that Yves Saint Laurent will cost you!!
I like the both very much and will most likely be purchasing more shades of both brands! L'Oreal is definitely worth a try, so next time you're at the drugstore give them a go!
Here is the YSL lipstain. (No hand swatch!)

Weekly WeightLoss Roundup! Week One-
My weight is something I have struggled with for years. I was always one of the biggest girls in my class at school and was pretty much overweight for as long as I can remember. But when I was eleven I went through a very traumatic experience, which I won't talk about, and my weight ballooned. I lost control over my eating and would often turn to food as a comfort. I have struggled with depression secretly from the age of eleven. Dealing with self harm and overeating. Then when I was thirteen I basically had a mental breakdown. Again I won't go into much detail about that right now as it's very personal.
Food was a release. It was a way out. And at times it was my only friend. But now it's got to the point where it has turned into an enemy, almost an addiction. And while we all need food to survive, it is also a BAD addiction. I feel that people are FAR to judgmental when it comes to weight and they often think people are fat because they like eating too much and are lazy. While this can be true, I think it is often misjudged. In my opinion weight is nearly always linked to emotional troubles. I'm not going to go into my personal believes.
I have been yo-yo dieting for years now and I am sick of being the size I am. I am confident in myself and I don't mind being this size but I don't LIKE it. So that is why I have decided to REALLY try to lose weight this year! Every day is a new beginning and I might as well start now!
I have joined My Fitness Pal (well actually I have been a member for quite some time!) which is basically a food and exercise tracker. It gives you a daily calorie allowance and you have to stick to it to lose weight. You just enter what you have eaten and it totals your calories. You do the same for exercise.
Every Monday I will be weighing in and doing a little post (not as long as this one) about my progress (or lack thereof) and how I'm feeling. This is definitely going to be tough but I hope you will join me on this journey and follow my process. :)
I'm going to keep my weight to myself right now as I don't feel comfortable sharing it right now!
I will also be making youtube videos on this matter :D
Thanks for reading.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Quick OOTD/FOTD- Cold Shoulder.
Hey guys!
Quick post today! It's an Outfit Of The Day (OOTD). So I'm going out for a nice dinner at a fairly expensive restaurant. My family and I go there quite often so I know the dress code pretty well. It's a hotel so it's not too dressy but it's also smart. I went with black and white with silver (and a touch of rose gold as I couldn't resist) accessories. Sorry if this seems a little rush, I'm going out to said dinner in literally 5 minutes!!
I'm also posting about my makeup today!
The top is from Forever21 + it's cold shoulder which means it has cut outs in the sleeves. It's white and has this embellishment around the neck. Necklace is from a charity shop which I got for £1. It's really small and dainty so I liked it with this as it wasn't "too much".
I had to wear my watch as I need to tell the time so I paired it with a rose gold shamballa bracelet from Amazon. Watch is my ever trusted Michael Kors rose gold beautie! ;)
The ring is an elasticated one which I love and is from Primark.
Shoes are by No Doubt from Amazon. They're off white with Rose Gold studs and are AMAZING!

April Faves 2013!
April Favourites for 2013!
Batiste Dry Shampoo- Coconut & Exotic Tropical
Katie Price Perfume- Precious Love
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer- Oil Free
L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Excess- Black
China Glaze Nail Polish- Electrify
MAC Mineralize Blush- Dainty
MAC Amplified Lipstick- Impassioned
MAC 15 Pan Eyeshadow Palette:
Gesso, Vanilla, Ricepaper, Yoghurt, Hush, Sweet Lust, Shroom, Retrospect, Omega, All That Glitters, Honey Lust, Cork, Woodwinked, Romp, Mulch
Batiste Dry Shampoo- Coconut & Exotic Tropical- £2.99- Pharmacy.
Batiste Dry shampoo was quite a late April purchase. My mum bought it for me because she used up all of my old dry shampoo which was by Girlz Only. I was never really a huge fan of dry shampoo if I'm honest but this was a pleasant surprise. I had tried the minis of Batiste before and never really liked them. It leaves your hair silky, soft and FULL of volume. It's pretty big also and my mum paid £2.99 for 200ml from the pharmacy. I love this scent which is "Coconut & Exotic Tropical". I will definitely repurchase and am really considering getting more types. This is good for ALL hair types. Stay tuned for a review if I do pick up more.
Katie Price "Precious Love" Perfume- £14.01- CheapSmells.com (I got as gift, includes body lotion!)
I received this particular bottle of perfume from my little sister for my 18th birthday and it comes with a shimmering body lotion in a gift set. And I actually like (and use) the body lotion, which is rare for me! The bottle is really amazing and actually really classy. It's a mirrored, 3D, almost mishaped heart with a "diamond" on the top and a purple tint. It's 50ml, which will set you back around £14 (with the lotion) on cheapsmells.com. I've nearly used it all which is very rare for me as I have quite a few perfumes. That just proves how nice it is. As I am bad with scents here's an official description from cheapsmells:
"Precious Love is the new fragrance from Katie Price for 2010. Inspired by romance, Precious Love opens with top notes of Kaffir lime, dewy green leaves and drops of watery musk. The heart consists of dazzling blooms of jasmine and creamy white rose that blend with notes of fresh cotton, which lead the way to the base of palisander, amber, musk, vanilla and benzoin."
Really lovely summer scent plus it lasts a really long time!
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer- Oil Free- £28 (50ml)- John Lewis
This is pricey! Good but pricey. At £28.00 for 50ml it's quite steep...or would be if it wasn't an absolutely AMAZING product! I got oil free as I have quite oily skin. I can REALLY tell a difference when I use it under my foundation! Even though I really hate Laura Mercier face products, this is a godsend! It smells a bit funky (always did) and can feel a bit thick when you apply it, but if you wait about 30 seconds- 1 minute before applying foundation it really works and sinks in lovely. It makes my face soft and helps my face products glide on plus it makes them last SO much longer! One of my must haves for the summer! It's lasted me about 9-12 months so it's a great investment and is to me worth the price. It has practically all gone so please excuse the oddly shaped, squeezed tube! ;)
L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Excess- Black- £10.99- Boots
I love, love, love L'Oreal mascaras!! The original "Volume Million Lashes" was great but to me Excess is even better! I don't think there is a huge difference but I do prefer this one! I'm going to do a full review on this one and a few other mascaras in a few weeks time so stay tuned for that. :D
China Glaze Nail Polish- Electrify- £4.75- Amazon
I *believe* this particular polish was part of "The Hunger Games" collection for China Glaze but it's really pretty! The colour is a beautiful red and gold glitter and applies very nicely even though you need a good few coats. It lasts a good amount of time and doesn't chip too badly. I love this colour.
MAC Mineralize Blush- Dainty- £19- Debenhams
This blush by MAC is mineralized which I really like. I feel that it's not as heavy as other blushes but has a great colour payoff and gives a beautiful, natural look. The colour is Dainty which is a pretty basic pink. A light hand is advised as it's buildable but comes out quite strong with a heavy hand. Also I think that it has a bitter of shimmer to it but I'm not sure anymore.
MAC Lipstick- Amplified Finish- Impassioned- £14- Debenhams
This lipstick is by MAC and is of the Amplified formula. The Amplified formula is my second favourite, only behind Cremesheen. They are creamy but in my opinion often dry Matte. Though they are not really drying at all. The colour is very unique and hard to describe but is a very vivid pink with obvious red and orange undertones, sometimes looking red/coral. It's really pretty and at £14 is worth the money in my opinion. Definitely recommended.
MAC Pro Palette 15 Pan Eyeshadow Custom Palette- £11.50 (old) for empty palette. £10 for each eyeshadow pan.- Debenhams.
This is one of the old style 15 pans custom MAC palettes. Basically they are build your own. You just buy the empty palette holder and then can buy each seperate pan whenever you want in whatever shades you want. The palette cost me £11.50 from the MAC counter at Debenhams. And each individual eyeshadow pan cost between £9.50-£10 depending on when I bought them. I am always expanding my eyeshadow collection and constantly reorganizing my palettes. Some of the more popular colours in this palette are: Ricepaper, Omega, All That Glitters, Woodwinked, Cork, Romp and Mulch. Each one is quite different but a few of them are quite similar. They are all neutral shades with a few browns at the end. I use this palette every day without fail and they are really beautiful, blendable and just really nice. You can make quite a few different looks, especially when used with my "Smokey" MAC palette which I have just completed and will feature on here soon!
Well that's it guys. Hope you enjoyed. Please comment below letting me know what YOUR April Faves were and please also follow for more content.

This blush by MAC is mineralized which I really like. I feel that it's not as heavy as other blushes but has a great colour payoff and gives a beautiful, natural look. New L'Oreal Caresse lipsticks review + YSL Comparison.
Hello all!
I know, I know! It's been a few days since I last posted and I did promise I would do this comparison post. I've had some camera issues (which will become apparent in the pictures) and didn't want to post to be honest because of the bad quality. I decided I would soldier on though so please excuse the bad quality pictures!
So L'Oreal has come out with these new lip products which have been compared a lot to the YSL lip products on youtube and on some blogs. As I own one of each of the original YSL products I thought I would do a comparison post.
But first I will just give my thoughts on the actual product without comparing them to the YSL lippies.
The packaging:
I really like the packaging for drugstore products. It looks quite sleek and isn't flimsy. The only thing I don't like is the see through lid. I HATE see through lids. It's redeeming factor is the top of the lip has a colour on it similar to the colour of the lipstick so it's not too bad. Overall its a B+ for L'Oreal with this packaging and I can see why they went for the infamous YSL gold colour look for their packaging!
The texture:
The texture is really nice and creamy. It glides on and is a pleasure to wear. It feels soft and glossy and to be honest feels (and unfortunately looks) like a lip butter. It's a nice texture and consistency and feels quite nourishing for the lips.
The colour payoff:
Unfortunately, the colour payoff isn't great for the lighter shade ( I only picked up 3, 2 of which were bright and 1 which was a nude colour) 501, Nude Ingenue. It didn't make any difference to my lips and looked nothing more than a tinted lip balm or a very badly pigmented lip butter. However the two bright colours 07 Cheeky Magenta and 202 Impulsive Fuschia came out a bit better. There was definite pigmentation but they were quite sheer. Sheer yet buildable! You could definitely build them up with a couple of coats.
The lasting power:
They didn't last. At all. Nude Ingenue was gone within no more than 15 minutes and the other two didn't last longer than an hour. Not impressed.
Overall:
Overall, I was somewhat impressed with them as a product without the comparisons! The colours are beautiful in the tube but somewhat lose in transition to the lips. They don't last very long but they're good if I'm going out to the shop or somewhere where I won't be very long but want a lipstick. At £7.99 I don't really think they are worth it if I am deadly honest. That being said, I am not sad that I did buy them and think I will find some uses for them.
PICTURES AND SWATCHES:
Top to bottom- 501- Nude Ingenue, 07 Cheeky Magenta, 202 Impulsive Fuchsia.
Comparison to YSL Rogue Volupte lipstick.
The YSL Rogue Volupte lipstick is one of my favorite lipsticks around today. They are so creamy and are very nice to wear. The L'Oreal Caresse lipsticks definitely reminded me of them texture wise and even had the same scent. They are roughly the same size. The YSL lipstick is far more pigmented and lasts a lot longer. It's packaging is to die for and is to me the best lipstick packaging of any brand!
I would definitely say that the lipsticks are comparable, but YSL does beat the L'Oreal version by far. Coming in at £24 for the YSL Rouge Volupte shine version, it is definitely more affordable to buy the £7.99 L'Oreal version.
YSL definitely wins the comparison, the L'Oreal is definitely worth a try.
Try them for yourself and let me know down in the comments below.
